Reed Watson is a native of the upstate having been born in Anderson,
South Carolina. He attended Greenville County Schools and then
graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Industrial
Management. After a stint in the army, which included a tour of
duty in Vietnam, he obtained a Masters in Business Administration (MBA)
from Georgia State University in Atlanta.
Reed's professional background includes 13 years with Fluor Daniel
Corporation in a variety of management positions. His real estate
career began in 1988 when he became a commercial broker with The Caine
Company. In 1996 Reed formed Interstate Commercial Properties,
Inc. in order to devote more of his time to development projects.
Today Reed works primarily for repeat clients and in the development of
the 101 Business Park and the Powdersville Business Center.
Mr. Watson is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and has
served in many leadership positions within the Greater Greenville
Association of Realtors (GGAR). He has twice been recognized as
GGAR Outstanding Committee Chairman and in 1995 was named the Commercial
Realtor of the Year. In 1999 Reed served the Association as
President and continues his involvement with the Association to this
day.
Reed is happily married and has two grown children and one granddaughter.
